【3月17日 AFPBB News】Japanese label TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. showcased its latest modish collection in a historic Tokyo museum on March 17 during Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO 2023 A/W.

The brand presented the collection at Hyokeikan, the oldest building of the Tokyo National Museum. The facility opened in 1909 and is designated as an Important Cultural Property for its use of European-style architecture.

Male models sashayed a narrow gallery of the museum, wearing edgy-style menswear such as short and maxi skirts with long boots.

TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. is one of the two brands that receive support for 2023 AW season from title sponsor Rakuten Group through the “by R” project aiming to help talented designers in Japan have greater opportunities to perform actively.

The label was established by designer Takahiro Miyashita in 2010, featuring its craftsmanship crossing tradition and modern technology. The latest collection was created with the theme: “"What if I made something for someone else?", according to the Rakuten Fashion website. (c)AFPBB News
