【3月18日 AFPBB News】Japanese brand KEISUKEYOSHIDA presented a new collection featuring restraint designs on the last day of Rakuten Fashion Week Tokyo 2023 A/W.

The ready-to-wear brand offered a physical runway show in the empty basement of a building now under construction at Tokyo’s fashion Shibuya district on March 18.

Models walked on the concrete floor, wearing chic long coats in mostly black and gray and low-neck knit cardigans while a bright turquoise jacket spiced up the presentation.

“What was very important to me this time was to restrain,” Keisuke Yoshida, the brand’s designer, said in an interview after the presentation.

“As I have been creating collections, I had the sense that I was gradually becoming obsessed with designs,” Yoshida said.

“My design has become excessive. I tried to eliminate it this time,” he added.

The twice-a-year fashion event in the Japanese capital drew to a close, giving the stage to 58 houses during the six-day parade. Of them, 42 brands presented in-person runway shows with the remaining 16 labels opting for digital presentations. (c)AFPBB News
